    Sensational views on a clear day. Exposed country. Carry spare food & water, warm clothing, beanie, gloves, waterproof jacket & pants at all times of the year. Be prepared for rapid changes in the weather, freezing strong wind, hail, sleet or snow at any times of the year.Around 4 hours walking to Federation Hut. No water on the way, take minimum of 1 litre when starting out.

    Amazing views on a clear day - not worth it if the weather /visibility is poor however. Track is rocky so bring good hiking shoes. 7 hour round trip to the summit of feathertop.
